Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Today, many aim to manifest the “best year ever”, and while I hope the very best for you, I take a more realistic approach - one rooted in very real sky configurations. 2020 is likely to be a pivotal year to steadily nurture the seeds of success and happiness. Fulfilling dreams takes time. On many an idle day have I grieved over lost time. But it is never lost, oh Divine, thou hast taken every moment of my life in thine own hands. Hidden in the heart of things, thou art nourishing seeds into sprouts, buds into blossoms, and ripening flowers into fruitfulness. I was tired and sleeping on my bed and imagined all work had ceased. In the morning I woke up and found my garden full with wonders of flowers. ~ Rabindranātha Tagore, Gītānjali We are each held in the hands of the divine - there are unseeable factors, forces of support and momentum in our lives at all time. We take action, all the while supported by that which may be unseeable and unappreciated.
Like a sprout works to stretch toward the blessing of nature's provisions in the form of light, water and nutrients, you too can make your own humble effort, applying your will toward that which you desire. 2020 is likely to serve up what appear to be inconveniences and impediments. With a mature perspective, we can allow for the reality that there is a hidden process happening of “nourishing seeds into sprouts, buds into blossoms, and flowers into fruitfulness”. As such, committing to the discipline of self-care and spiritual growth are particularly important in 2020. My recommendation is that, through your own daily habits and spiritual practices you surrender over to a larger process. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, doing what is right to the best of your ability. Support is there, even if hidden. Your self-care, spiritual practices and right choices will invigorate that support. We are each born with a particular momentum and destiny, cultivated by our habits and commitments. May we each have the patience to trust in a larger process as we develop the momentum of our habits. You can read more about the trends of 2019-2020 here and here.
